I need fans for my Facebook page! Become a fan of Farmers Apothecary on Facebook!

I make soap, lots of wonderful, soothing, bubbly, moisturizing soap! Farmers Apothecary is my homemade soap company (have you ever tried a bar of handmade soap? It is sooo much better than commercial soap. Try it! You’ll never buy another bar of commercial soap again!) My skin can’t handle the commercial detergent soap, I gotta have MY soap. I also make lotions, fizzies, gels, and other bath potions in all sorts of colors and scents. Check it out.

X-Men Forever (Posted 7/12/2009)

X-Men Forever Several of everyone’s favorite merry mutants will be featured in the new X-title, X-Men Forever, written by Chris Claremont. X-Men Forever picks up right where Claremont’s 90’s run left off, with X-Men #3. Anything goes in this reboot too since it is a totally separate reality/time line from current Marvel events, so you never know who will make an appearance.

Wonderful News from WonderCon (Posted 3/1/2009)

This weekend at WonderCon 2009 in San Francisco, Marvel Comics announced the launch of Uncanny X-Men: First Class. Written by Scott Gray with artwork provided by Roger Cruz, the next generation of students begin their journey at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

The series kicks off just after the X-Men get back from their M’Kraan Crystal adventure shown in Uncanny #107-#108. The books team will feature Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Banshee, and Phoenix!

I’m VERY excited about this series, it features a very solid team wqith some of my favorite characters. I can’t wait to see Banshee and Pheonix in action again! I’ll post pictures ASAP.

Ultimate Ending (Posted 1/6/2009)

Fans of Ultimate Fantastic Four and Ultimate X-Men, however, will be disappointed to hear confirmation of the popular rumor/fact that both books are being canceled. “Following issue #60 of Ultimate Fantastic Four and issue #100 of Ultimate X-Men, I believe those books will go dark. After that we’re reformulating our plans in light of Ultimatum. As to what happens to UFF and UXM, we have some thoughts, but nothing I’d like to mention just yet.

You can catch the entire article here.

The events of Ultimatum have already begun in both the standard Ultimate issues, and the Ultimatum mini-series. Out now.

Banshee Images (Posted 5/19/2008)

Banshee images are few and far between, even on the ‘net. I’ve tried my best to collect as many as possible and post them, but…. here is about the most recent image I’ve unearthed:

If you have any images of Banshee, feel free to upload them at Comic Candy. The internet could use a few more shots of him!

Donation Drive (Posted 12/28/2006)

Comic Candy, the hugemoungous comic book image gallery and news site that I run (and also the site I upload all the images and other things found on this site to), has gotten into trouble this month for being a big pig.

It used too many resources for the hosting plan I was on and had to be moved to a semi-dedicated server (which has put me into a bit of sticker shock…). So, as much as I hate begging for money via the internet, I will in order to keep my various sites online. If you enjoy any of my sites, please consider a donation by paypal to them, no amount is too small, and every donation is greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance, and hopefully no one is too offended by my fundraising efforts.

Updates Now Powered… (Posted 11/12/2006)

by Wordpress. I have decided to use Wordpress to help me add updates and news to my collective of Fanlistings. I looked at various other scripts and none of them seemed to work as well as a bit of creative WP useage, comments are activated for all news stories too.

Hopefully this will make it quicker & easier on me to add new updates, news, press releases, etc.

Banshee - Rest in Peace (Posted 11/11/2006)

Sadly, Sean Cassidy was recently killed during the “Deadly Genesis” story-line (Issue #2), in a mid-air collision with the Blackbird and another passenger plane. Banshee died a hero, while trying to save many other people…

It’s a shame that Marvel felt they had to kill him, and wonder if the “Dead Means Dead” policy will apply, or if we shall see Sean flying once again anytime in the future.
