About Ivy

Poison Ivy, who's real name is Pamela Lillian Isley, first appeared June of 1966, in Batman #181. There is some debate over her origins, as she has had several though the years (but what comic character hasn't?), but most seem to rotate around evil men using and abusing her, and she in turn triumphing over them by becoming Poison Ivy.

One thing is for sure though, Poison Ivy's powers include an immunity to any and all poison, the ability to produce poison at will, resulting in a poisonous touch, and of course the famous poison kiss, which can enthrall the strongest of men. (Not even Superman was immune to this kiss!) Some story lines also give her the power to control the plants themselves.

Ivy has been called a villianess, and an eco-terrorist, among other things, but Ivy's love of nature and growing things, have always drawn me to love her character, flaws and all.
