Jean Grey Versions

This page is a work in progress.

Comic - Marvel Universe - Phoenix
The most well known version of Jean Grey is the traditional green and gold costume.
This version came about after Jean had bonded with the Phoenix entity, but while she was still in control of its power.
These are also the first "Marvel Girl" costume colors, maybe signaling some sort of return to innocence.

Comic - Marvel Universe - Dark Phoenix
The Dark Phoenix is given away in the comics usually by the red and gold costume (that and the whole beating the crap out of everyone thing...). This version of Jean is seen when Jean herself has lost control over the Phoenix force and it is at the helm. Bad things usually happen.

Comic - Ultimate Universe
The Jean Grey of the Ultimate Marvel universe is a bit different than her Marvel U. counterpart. However, she ends up with Scott (although does lock lips with Wolvie in the first few issues). Like the short hair on her though.

Movie X1 & X2
Movie Jean was a departure from the other versions of Jean Grey. Captured quite well by Famke, this Jean is outfitted in the team uniform of black leather.
Movie Jean has also not been fully exposed to the Phoenix force, so she, as of yet, has none of its enhanced power.

Image NeededAnimated - 90's Series
The Jean Grey of the 90's animated X-Men series was a take charge kind of girl. More true to her comic book roots. In this series we got to see in animated glory, the Phoenix saga unfold.

Animated - Evolution
Evolution Jean is level-headed, peacemaking...a model student. Although, more than a bit of a teacher's pet.

Video Game - Legends
The X-Men Legends video game saw a new take on Jean's character. This version more closely resembles the Ultimate universe Jean than previous game releases which featured her.
