‘Y’ Movie for 2010 (Posted 9/16/2008)
The script for the movie based on Brian K. Vaughn’s Y the Last Man has been completed with an eye toward a late 2010 release, according to an interview with director D.J. Caruso by SciFiWire.
Shia LaBeouf is Caruso’s first choice to pay lead character Yorick, and he’d be available after completing Transformers 2, on which shooting is over half done, according to Caruso.
The film will be the first of an anticipated trilogy.

Writer & Director Named (Posted )
New Line Cinema has announced that D.J. Caruso will direct and Carl Ellsworth will write the big screen live action adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan’s epic science fiction comic book series, Y: The Last Man. Caruso and Ellsworth recently teamed up on the sleeper hit Disturbia, which starred Shia LeBeouf in a clever reworking of the storyline of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window, with wheelchair bound photographer Jimmy Stewart replaced in Disturbia by a grounded teenager played by LeBeouf (who is rumored to be a prime candidate to portray Yorick in Y: The Last Man).

Donation Drive (Posted 12/28/2006)
Comic Candy, the hugemoungous comic book image gallery and news site that I run (and also the site I upload all the images and other things found on this site to), has gotten into trouble this month for being a big pig.
It used too many resources for the hosting plan I was on and had to be moved to a semi-dedicated server (which has put me into a bit of sticker shock…). So, as much as I hate begging for money via the internet, I will in order to keep my various sites online. If you enjoy any of my sites, please consider a donation by paypal to them, no amount is too small, and every donation is greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance, and hopefully no one is too offended by my fundraising efforts.

Updates Now Powered… (Posted 11/12/2006)
by Wordpress. I have decided to use Wordpress to help me add updates and news to my collective of Fanlistings. I looked at various other scripts and none of them seemed to work as well as a bit of creative WP useage, comments are activated for all news stories too.
Hopefully this will make it quicker & easier on me to add new updates, news, press releases, etc.

Y - To End (Posted 11/10/2006)
As Friday’’s Vertigo panel, Brian K. Vaughan dashed the hopes of Y: The Last Man fans everywhere. After assuring that issue #50 would reveal “who or what caused the plague”, Vaughan made a definitive statement on the comic-book future of Y.
After the series ends with issue 60, there will be no one-shots, no specials, no spin-offs. Y’s story is done as far as comics are concerned. By that same token, the final issue will answer all remaining questions. “We’re not going to leave you hanging”, Vaughan promised.
Readers can still look forward to the upcoming Y: The Last Man movie, expected to arrive in theatres after the series reaches its conclusion next year.
